Fab 2 aims to:

Tackle issues around sickle cell disease by:

Promoting support, advice and co-ordination of care to individuals and families where there is a sufferer;

Increasing awareness of the disease through public education and developing comprehensive training programme for community groups, carers, health professionals and the general public;

Working closely with Hospitals/Healthy Authority departments, governments and the voluntary sector to develop a coordinated service.

Acting as a specialist resource for other professionals and communities at risk;

Supporting and promoting research into the cure and treatment of the disease.

Developing a comprehensive campaign strategy to promote public awareness of the disease.
